Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Mrs. Monica Bartorelli was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina. She has a dual certification as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a graduate of Winston Salem State University (2013) and University of Cincinnati (2021), she has made healthcare her lifelong passion and is committed to bringing quality of care. She possesses 20 years of nursing experience, which includes 5 years in academia, providing primary care, acute care, mental health and addiction medicine. 

She is passionate about servicing underserved and rural communities across the life span. She enjoys treating patients and learning new evidenced based treatment modalities with a patient centered treatment plan. Her holistic approach with an emphasis on health promotion has sparked her passion for healthcare integration managing mental health and substance use disorders.

She and her husband, James, love to spend time with their two sons and traveling.

 Our ability to connect with the patient by providing patient focused integrated care that incorporates nonpharmacological modalities and developing a treatment plan that is comprehensive to overall wellbeing. Our emphasis on the social determinants of health ensure we treat all facets of the patients needs. 

 Understanding one’s mental health is the pillar to their overall wellbeing. With integrated treatment of mental health and/or substance use disorders, we are able to contribute to better physical health through various mechanisms, such as stress reduction, improved immune function and healthier lifestyle choices.
